GoodHealth Grape Seed 55000 – High strength antioxidant providing a high level of OPCs – 412mg Grape Seed Extract provides Oligomeric Procyanidins (OPCs), which possess potent antioxidant properties, to protect against cellular damage caused by free radicals. OPCs support blood vessel integrity and are important for vein, eye and cardiovascular health. OPCs also support healthy skin and connective tissues by encouraging the production of collagen and elastin in the skin matrix. Key Indications: Vascular disorders such as venous insufficiency, varicose and spider veins, cardiovascular disease, haemorrhoids and capillary fragility. Eye disorders – diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Conditions involving collagen breakdown e.g. arthritis, premature aging of skin, ligament or tendon damage Allergic and inflammatory disorders Key Benefits: Antioxidant – protects against free radical damage High strength (55g) of Grape Seed extract – supports healthy circulation – shown to support healthy veins and improve capillary strength Standardized to contain Oligomeric Procyandins (OPCs) – Potent antioxidant – 412mg OPC’s protects against free radical damage and provides anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS Each Capsule contains: Herbal extract equivalent to dry: Vitis vinifera (Grape Seed) 44g Equivalent procyanidins (OPCs)) 330mg Herbal extract equivalent to fresh: Vitis vinifera (NZ Grape Seed) 11g Equivalent procyanidins (OPCs)) 82mg
DOSAGE Adults: Take 1 capsule daily or as professionally advised.
WARNINGS Due to the actions of Grape Seed extract, it is probably safe to use 1 capsule daily during pregnancy. However, because insufficient research proving that Grape Seed extract at this dose is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, we cannot recommend use during these times. Extended Information: Grape seed extract OPC’s (Oligomeric ProanthoCyanidins) are the active component of Grape Seeds. Studies have shown Grape seed extract to be highly bioavailable and provide greater antioxidant protection than vitamins C, E and beta-carotene. Oxidative damage is implicated in many degenerative diseases as well as the aging process, therefore antioxidants are recommended to help minimize these processes. OPC’s also inhibit enzymes involved in collagen destruction e.g. collagenase, elastase, and have shown anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties. Grape Seed extract has been shown to improve capillary permeability and strength and to increase venous tone in those with varicose veins.
