It contains the active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride. It works by increasing gut transit time so that food takes longer to pass through the gastrointestinal tract. This allows the bowel time to absorb water and produce a more solid stool in the digestive system.

Diamide is used to treat patients with sudden (acute) or long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea. It is also used to treat diarrhea in people with an ileostomy (part of the intestines removed by surgery) to improve digestive system functions.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS Each Capsule contains

 Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg

DOSAGE 

Usual Adult DOSAGE 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each unformed stool. Daily dosage should not exceed 8 Capsules.p for better digestion.

WARNINGS

Do not use in children under 12 years, unless directed by a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Diamide. IF diarrhea persists for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor. Contains lactose and is gluten-free. Always read the label and use only as directed. If symptoms persist see your healthcare professional.

Extended Information of Diamide Capsules :

These capsules are used to harden the stools in order to reduce the number of volume of passing stools. The tablet acts as a prevention from losing stools, however, if the person is experiencing acute diarrhea along with the passing of blood in the stools, please contact the doctor to check for the conditions. 

The Diamide Capsules cannot be taken for long term usage. Do not take an overdose and not more than24 hours unless prescribed and directed by the doctor. Long term usage can cause more health issues.

The passing of stools should be natural in the digestive tract. This tablet can aid in better gut health and help digestive system functions however, the person is advised to take regular diet and consult the doctor if the problem persists. It is ideal to be taken before food or on empty stomach.
